Restoring MileMark Pro Purchases
If you reinstalled the app or set up a new iPhone, you can restore your existing purchase at any time: open MileMark, navigate to Settings > MileMark Pro (or open the upgrade screen), and tap Restore Purchases. Ensure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Managing or Cancelling Subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed and managed directly through Apple. To change your subscription tier or cancel auto-renewal:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your Name / Apple ID at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select MileMark and choose your desired option or tap Cancel Subscription.
Please note that uninstalling or deleting the MileMark app does not cancel an active subscription.
Background Tracking Permissions
For automatic trip detection to work reliably, MileMark requires two permissions:
- Location Access: Must be set to "Always Allow" so drives can be detected even when the app is closed. MileMark uses iOS significant-change and visit monitoring to minimize battery drain.
- Motion & Fitness: Required so the app can distinguish vehicular driving from walking, cycling, or running.
You can check and update these permissions at any time under iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and Motion & Fitness.
Exporting Reports for Your Accountant
To export your mileage logs for tax purposes:
- Open the Report tab.
- Select the tax year or date range you want to summarize.
- Tap Export CSV to generate a clean, RFC 4180-compliant spreadsheet containing dates, start/end locations, purpose, vehicle, odometer, and calculated IRS deductions.
Requesting a Refund
Because all payments are processed through Apple App Store In-App Purchases, refunds are managed directly by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or use your Apple purchase history.
